Apologies for being scarce in February. I needed a moment to catch my breath.

There’s been some drama in my life on a few fronts. Right now, I am in Florida, helping my elderly parents move 4 hours away and into a senior living facility. The physical labor involved is fine, but the emotional fortitude required is not so great. There are reasons I moved thousands of miles away! And reasons I chose to avoid jobs that involve dealing with difficult customers, such as condescending, paranoid, distrustful, micromanaging types. Errrrgh. My dad does have good qualities, and he’s worthy of respect by many metrics, but he is much easier to deal with at a distance.

I have written some new chapters, though.

  • 127 Thwarted By Reality – Oag received coaching from Myrtle and makes a deal with River.

  • 128 Barrier Buster – Oag takes a fresh approach to handling chi, and stumbles on something that may change how he approaches defense.

  • 129 Whipped Into Shape – Oag proves his barrier buster’s effectiveness, and grapples with unforeseen limitations.

And I am very much enjoying reading the book series “12 Miles Below” by Mark Arrows. It’s brilliant sci-fantasy.
